Based on the monomyth joseph campbell or the hero's journey, there are 3 stage of monomyth that is the departure, initiation and return,

Departure.
The scene is when neo was offerd two pills.. red and blue. blue is he goes back to his normal life and still be in the matrix and red if he wants to get to know the real world out side of the matrix. Neo picked the red pill and was brought to the matrix. he was unconscious and was awaken in a liquid-filled vessel that was connected to a lot of other people. after going through the metamorphosis he was made in to a semi robot that has a plug at the back of his head so that he could go in and out of the matrix.

Initiation.
at first he met the oracle and she explain how  Where Morpheus train Neo how to be in the matrix where the mind is more powerful then brutal strength. Morpheus train to jump over a building and falling, where nothing is what it seems. train him how to use martial art( a program that teach him how to fight). ect.
At first he was doing pretty bad and wanted to give up, but as time goes by he started to get use to it and he surpass even the teacher Morpheus. In the movie he was the chosen one to defeat Mr Anderson the robot virus that controls the matrix world.

Return
He defeated Mr.Anderson , he went back to the real world in the ship and base in the robot world in the future. Everyone embarrass him as a hero as he return. 

Matrix cartoon.
what i like about the matrix cartoon.? hmmm the plot of the story is almost similar to the original one . its just how its told that was different. i like the animation. even tho its an animation it still has a realism attribute to it. how it moves how it fades and how it was construct. i think my favorite part is when the phone rang and he already off his phone and it still rang. You know then it was from the matrix. because there's no other explanation. am i alone? that is a classic tag line in the matix.


Plato's cave.

The story/movie of the matrix and platos cave has the similarity of the real and unreal . In the matrix, there is two world. One is in the matrix( inside the computer) and the real world which was in the future where it was conquered by the robots. Neo was stuck in the world of matrix but his conscious knew that something was not right. he knew that he wasn't in the real world or there is another world out there. from the Plato's cave, show that the prisoners in the cave can  only see the shadows that what project by the light and fire, not the real object. means they are only see what they can see and have to believe it . same like in the matrix. they only saw the world that is being shown to them, not anything else. Once the prisoner was out of the cave only can he see the real thing that was happening in the real world. to relate to the matrix. after morpheus gave him the pill and he was reborn, only then he saw what is happening in the real world.
