I like this scene because the life of Tigris is saved although the king vote to kill him. Life should be appreciated. When we appreciated the life, the world will become peaceful, hatred will be decrease. Besides that, the action of Maximus had change the opinion of audiences also. The audiences whom vote to kill Tigris at the beginning had change their view and support the action of Maximus. Everyone is support peaceful in that scene and it shows unity.

For the gladiator (2000), the scene I like is the first time which Maximus known as "Maximus the Merciful" by the audiences. That scene shows in the second time for Maximus fight in the Colosseum in Rome. For that time, Maximus fight with Tigris of Gaul, Rome's only undefeated gladiator. Both of them are surrounded by 4 tigers which are under controlled with chains, these tigers are used to target Maximus only. After an intense fighting, Maximus narrowly defeat Tigris and wait for Caesars to decide whether kill or spare Tigris. Caesars votes for kill Tigris. However, Maximus refuse to kill him and that action make the audiences known him as "Maximus the Merciful". He become more famous while the popularity of Caesars decline.
