What is ugly?
Ugly is very unattractive or unpleasant to look at or offensive to the sense of beauty.In deep, it can also relate to the revolting of morally behaviour.Different people define ugly with different definition.Some of them judge ugly from outside appearance such as facial appearance and background of a person while some of them judge ugly from the inner part of a person  which lead to a good or bad personality of him/her.There is no right and wrong to judge whether someone is ugly or not.It depends on the virtue and vice of the person.For example, you can say a man who involved in a robbery is ugly since he is breaking the law.On the other hand, you can also say he is a great man as his family need money to survive,therefore he is using his way by robbing a shop to get the cost of living for his family.

what is beautiful?
Beautiful is very attractive thing.The most beautiful thing relate with monomyth is when a person reaches his/her goals and gain a lot of experience in his/her journey. for example, a man explore at the other country at his first time , he stayed at there alone and find a job to support himself. He experience a lot of problem happen and also happiness he found. this are the beautiful things that we thing is beautiful

What is the mynomyth?

Stage 3:
~Refusal of the Return: The hero may refuse to return to his old world after finish his journey. This is because he worry that the old world can not accept him and his thinking that had been change by this journey.
~The Magic Flight: The hero may want to return to his old world after finish his journey. There may have a protector accompany him to help him overcome the problems he may face on the way back to his old world.
~Rescue from without: After the journey, the hero may be rescued from the death or from nothing.
~Crossing of the Return Threshold: The hero may need to cross the threshold again, which the threshold is to separate the new world and his old world. He may have to fight with another gatekeeper and reborn again.
~Master of Two Worlds: After the hero has cross the threshold, he will know that the difference between his old world and the new world. His understanding will help him to balance his character and mind.
~Freedom to Live: After he complete his journey and reach his old world, he will be live freely. He will live with his new knowledge, which is the knowledge learn in his journey, and use the new knowledge to beneficial his old world.

-Something that may have several meanings and several views, depends on the way of the viewer looking on it.

-A combination of arts to show another obvious meaning.
-Sometime some interesting meaning will hide behind the design

relationship between the ugly and the beautiful thing in monomyth

‎'Ugly is the mother of beauty? based on monomyth, if there is no ugly, then there is no beauty . In the starting point (initiation) of the journey to become a hero, were always born 'ugly'. However, we considered ourselves as the most beautiful and perfect being and others is relatively ugly. We refused to accept the ugliness. Hence,we work hard to eliminate the ugly in the inner part of us and shape the inner beauty along the way. After the ugly things are vanished, it's time for us to back home and celebrate. In short, we must know how to differentiate what is beauty and ugly in order to sustain until we reach our goal to become a real hero.'

What is your bliss?

When we achieve our goal and destination that we set before, it will bring us happiness. That is simple and it is our bliss. Why we study in university. It is because we have an objective or a dream such as became a graphic designer. This is a part of our journey, a journey that bring that bring us to our destination. Sometimes we will face some failure, some challenge and some invisibility. However, they will make our bliss and happiness become higher.

All in all, our bliss is a process that content :

Setting a goal or destination

Starting as journey to achieve the goal

Facing the challenge

Enjoying that fruit that we giant in this journey (happiness)

in our opinion, we think that this picture is the most ugliest because war brings suffering to us.Not only because of war, is destroy our beautiful mother earth. It also brings DEATH to us. For example, some country such as Iran, they waste a lot of human resourses to participate in war. BLOODS and dead body around brings tears to their family.

The most beautiful thing cannot be seen by our eyes and even touched, they must be felt with our heart.The most beautiful thing is not only seen at the physical appearance and yet the inner side. The things that have beautiful physical appearance but which are broken inside are not counted as beautiful things. The most beautiful thing could bring a lot of happiness to our life. Mostly, the most beautiful thing cannot be bought and it comes naturally.

What do you want from this course?

I want to gaint more knowledge. What is the past of art? How it become art? Why it is call art? May I make the history?! And what is the way can i take to become a good designer and change the history...




What do you want to be doing in 5 years? 10 years? 20years?
I will try my best to past my degree wif flying color!! After degree, I would like to have training in a company and bacome a junior. I wish i can work in a publishing company like magazine or comic and so on. In 10-20 year, I would like to study more and more. I would also like to have some trip with my family. My family and i like to watch and enjoy others country's culture and art such as Turkey, Korean, and so on. I would like to organize my own company which relate to publishing company. Collecting some art work or some opus of others will become my hobby and profession.

Is history of art and design necessary do you thinck for your large goal?
Yes~For the artist, this is the basis . To know what the technique using by the artist, what the mistake taken by the atrtist.
so we can learn the technique and avoid the mistake.


The most beautiful thing for me is the night sky.
It is always mistery, lonely but it is full of imagination. Either it is full of the star or not.
I always release my stress by watching the night sky...

The most ugly thing for me is truth.

What do you want from this course?

I want knowledge of how to be a good designer. I wish I could have enough understanding on the revolution of art and how the artists such as Van Gogh, Piet Mondrian and Sandro Botticelli did their fantastic artworks.

What do you want to be doing in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?

In 5 years’ time, I think I will be a junior designer in a company after I successfully graduated from the university. After 10 years, maybe I will get participate into others field that related to design, advertising jobs or film making as long as I have my enthusiasm to be a designer. I hope I can create some artwork that is incredibly great. And for the next 20 years, I wish I could just sit down on the coach of my own gallery and enjoy back my greatest achievements (^0^)

What do you hope to get from this particular class?

I want to get into knowing the interesting history of art and the pieces of artwork produced by famous artists.

Is history of art and design necessary do you think for your larger goals?

Yes. For a designer who has a love for creativity and enjoys experimenting with various techniques of art skills, is a must to understanding the history of art so that it can enrich and deepen our involvement with art.

What do you want from this course?

To improve design skill and get more knowledge from this course. And it will also help me to learn something new that before i never learn.

What do you want to be doing in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years? 

First, i will try my best to finish my degree course in this few year. After that, i will also find the job as graphic designer to get my working experience and also train my design and software skill in this 5 years. In 10 years & 20 years i hope i can be a famous designer and also famous art directer to travelling in this world.

What do you hope to get from this particular class?

I hope can know more past artist work and how they express emotions to their artwork & also how their artwork can be durable from past until nowadays.It  also can help me improve communicate  skill to each other in class.

It is necessary to know about history of art and design for a designer. It because we can learn it and use it to our future life also can explain to other people how the artwork become an art. For a person no matter is history or future story, each story in our life are all important.

What Do You Want To Be Doing In 5 Years? 10 Years? 20 Years?

After 5 years I will find a job related with my course to gain more experience and at the same time I'm planning to be photographer.  10 years later I'm planning to get an opportunity to work at the other country to gain more experience for my carrier. At the same time I will bring my family members along and stay at there together. And if there is any chance, i would like to open an art school and an art tuition center to gain more income for my family. 20 years later i would travel around the world to see how large will be this world is which full of arts and design. And not only that, perhaps i would start an art gallery for my carrier.

What Do You Hope To Get From This Particular Class?

To gain more knowledge about art and design from the history. Most important part is, i shall also keen to know where's does the art and design come from.
